Concept
How can we design an educational trail that is exciting in a cross-media, pedagogy and interactive way and at the same time in harmony with the sensitive high alpine natural environment?
A story-line, tailored to the target group, is dedicated to the different themes of the Swiss stone pine forest. Sixteen stations are supervised by a playful print substrate. Accompanied tours of the nature park are also seen as part of the concept. In addition, a digital app concept with audio stories was developed but not implemented.
Typography, colors and illustration style were developed on the foundation of perceptions and structures collected on site. Thus, a visual appearance was created that suits the natural environment and takes up the sensation of the surroundings.
The result is a moderated hike, which provides locals and guests an opportunity to explore with all senses and to learn in an emotional way more about their place. Domestic woods and nature-friendly set up are an essential part of the project. The information concept is developed with the possibility to extend the educational trail with new stations or other topics. The trail is designed in English and German.
